Deans Blue Hole is a paradise for diving enthusiasts. A natural and geological wonder, it is the deepest blue hole in the world, plunging 663 feet below sea level. Take a dive and be amazed by the marine life; rich with tropical fish, tarpons, sea horses and turtles. The waste-deep water around the blue hole is perfect for snorkeling.

At the southern tip of the island of Eleuthera, the picture perfect Lighthouse Beach awaits you with blush rose sand and turquoise water. Take out your hiking shoes and visit this off-the-beaten-path beauty. Pretty rock formations create perfect shaded nooks for a mini picnic on the beach while a derelict lighthouse creates a sense of adventure and mystery.
Located within the Lucayan National Park is one of the least traversed beaches on the island, Gold Rock Beach. A hike through mangroves will you lead to this hidden gem, which is perfect for snorkeling and sunbathing. There are also nearby underwater caves to explore.
Don’t consider leaving Bahamas without a trip to the world famous Thunderball grotto. Featured in Hollywood blockbusters, the grotto consists of an intricate maze of underwater caves with holes on the ceiling to let the sunlight through. Dive in and watch the magical marine life unfolding in front of your very eyes. The natural aquarium offers glimpses of colorful coral, tropical fish, lobsters, sea turtles and many other hidden treasures from the depths of Atlantic.
Another definite must do in the Bahamas is a visit to Hope Town Lighthouse on Elbow Cay. This incredible lighthouse is one of the few remaining lighthouses in the world that is still lit using kerosene oil. If you don’t mind a bit of exercise, be sure to climb the 101 steps to the viewing deck and take in the amazing views of the island and surrounding sea.

A little ride away from Nassau, Jaw’s beach is one of the many hidden treasures of the Bahamas. A part of the Clifton Heritage National Land and Sea Park, this beach is the perfect place to unwind. There are rocky protrusions and trees, which offer shaded areas to relax or take a nap. You can also explore the historical ruins nearby.
A visit to Cloisters Gardens overlooking the Nassau harbor is an absolute must for any visitor to The Bahamas. Stroll amidst the lush greenery adorned with classical statues and the colorful tropical flowers blooming in abundance.
