Jamaica Musts
The Pelican Bar, a wooden shack built on a sand bar a quarter of a mile out to sea between the Black River and Treasure Beach, is an absolute must do for anyone seeking a unique Caribbean beach experience. For those who enjoy fishing, bring your gear; you may even be lucky enough to catch your own dinner!
If you are looking for a thrilling adventure in the dense forests of Jamaica, visit to Mystic Mountain, in Ocho Rios. The bobsled ride down the mountain (that’s right, a bobsled ride!) is a truly exhilarating and unforgettable experience.

Any coffee-lovers lucky enough to find themselves in Jamaica should absolutely make the trip to the Blue Mountains in the eastern part of the country, home of the locally grown and internationally-renowned Blue Mountain Coffee. Visit the Blue Mountains where time has stood still for nearly 100 years, and taste the coffee at its freshest, in the very location where it has grown since the early 18th century!
For one of the Caribbean’s most picturesque beaches, you must visit Frenchman’s Cove Beach, in Port Antonio. Take in the sun on the beach’s white sands or cool off with a swim in the turquoise waters. The beach has been the set for several movies, including the Hollywood blockbuster, Knight and Day!
One of the best way to explore the real beauty of inland Jamaica is river rafting on the Rio Grande. The 33-foot long bamboo rafts, that used to carry farmers’ produce, now carry visitors. Time itself slows down as the raft meanders through the emerald green river and lets you enjoy the scenic countryside of the Caribbean island at leisure.
There aren't too many sights more beautiful than watching the sunset and seeing it from the cliffs in Negril is an experience like no other. There are many spots along the cliffs where you can watch this magic take place. Just choose one and be sure to take it all in.

Sunset From Negril Cliffs
Go off the beaten track and visit the little-known gem called Blue Hole near Ocho Rios. Here you'll find natural pools and waterfalls hidden amid lush green tropical forest. Unleash your inner Tarzan and swing on a rope to jump into the cool, invigorating water, or simply settle down on a rock and enjoy the ethereal beauty of nature.
What trip to Jamaica would be complete without enjoying one of the island’s tastiest snacks, the Jamaican patty? Tastee has been serving up the delicious patties for over 40 years, and with locations throughout the island nation, you must not miss out on this uniquely Jamaican snack.
Serious hikers should not miss the trek up to Blue Mountain Peak, Jamaica’s highest peak at an altitude of 7402 ft. The 7 mile hike up (and another seven miles down) takes about seven hours. For a truly exhilarating experience, you can begin the hike up the mountain in the wee hours of morning (with flashlight in hand) and watch the sunrise from the summit, before hiking back down in the morning light.
