An absolute must do during your stay in Martinique is a visit to Anse Cafard Slave Memorial. At the site, on top of a hill overlooking Diamond Beach and the Caribbean Sea, stand 20 white stone effigies in commemoration of an 1830 shipwreck of a slave ship on Diamond Rock Mountain. The wreck killed many of the ship’s passengers in addition to the slaves chained down in the ship’s hull. This site leaves a lasting impression and is truly a sight to behold.

A visit to Martinique, the isle of flowers, remains incomplete without a trip to Domaine d'Emeraude at Morne Rouge. The tropical botanical park offers three well-marked nature trails amid the lush green rain forest, showcasing hundreds of indigenous plants and trees.
