St. Barths Musts

The ultra secluded Saline Beach is often considered among the greatest beaches in all of the Caribbean, and for good reason. With its shallow waters stretching out a good distance from the shore, allowing for great swimming and the picture-perfect scenery created by the hills in the backdrop, this beach is simply stunning. Be aware that nude sunbathing is common on Saline Beach.

Just a short distance from Saline Beach along the southern coast of St. Barths lies another spectacular beach, Governeur Beach. It is a bit more developed than Saline Beach, with a great restaurant serving delicious food and drinks to beach goers, but remains absolutely pristine, with perfectly clear water that makes for amazing snorkeling. On a clear day, it is even possible to catch views of St. Kitts along the horizon.

St. Barths has many wonderful beaches; one of the most remarkable being Anse des Flamands. Its wide stretch of powdery white sand and crystal blue water instantly draw you in and make you forget all your worldly worries. Parking and restaurants are close by, making the beach family-friendly, though not overly crowded.

If there is a place on earth where time stands still, it must be Toiny Beach. This little known beauty tucked away in St. Barts is a place to simply admire the aquamarine waves clashing with the forest-clad volcanic rocks. Surfers do wax your boards, for this is also a surfers’ paradise. Snorkeling in the crystal clear water is a must.

The idyllic Anse de Colombier is an incredible beach destination that is an absolute must do. Reaching the beach can be done either by boat or via a 30-minute walk from Flamand. The secluded beach attracts not only human visitors, but also a variety of dolphins, tortoises, rays, and other incredible sea creatures.

Unleash your inner James Bond and ride the thrilling, eco-friendly water-scooter Seabob to explore the blue waters surrounding St. Barths. The fun ride begins with the instructor teaching you how to maneuver the Seabob. Then, depending on what you choose, you may either take it for a spin underwater or swim at the surface like a dolphin, all under the careful observation of your instructor. Exploring the Caribbean Sea was never more exciting!
