  • Location - St. Vincent is roughly 29 km (18 miles) long and 17.7 km (11 miles) wide and has an area of 344 sq. km (133 sq. miles). The Grenadines comprise an additional 44 sq. km (17 sq. miles). It is 120km/75 miles to the South of Grenada, 40km/24 miles to the North of St Lucia and 160km/100 miles to the East of Barbados.

 

  • Climate - The average yearly temperature is 27 degrees C (81 degrees F). The coolest months are between November and February. 

 

  • Rainfall - During the rainy season, May through October, rain is frequent in the mountains of St. Vincent with the annual average rainfall being 380 cm (150 inches) inland and 200 cm (80 inches) on the coast.

 

  • Currency - The currency of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is the Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC$). The normal exchange range is between $2.60 and $2.68 EC to $1 US.

 

  • Volcano - St. Vincent is a mountainous Island, it has an active volcano called La Soufriere, and it is located in the north and rising to 1,220 m (4,000ft.) at its highest point.
